Basket weaving is an honored, age-old craft passed down for generations in Peru. This basket is handmade and handwoven by local artisans with totora reed, which grows abundantly in Peruvian wetlands. Materials are cut and gathered, then carried out by donkey and laid flat to dry in fields where the sun gently bleaches the fibers. Imported. Each is unique. 15" dia. x 15"H.
