A hand-tooled leather belt, supple with age and wear, holds five sterling silver butterfly conchos set with turquoise cabochons and alternately hand-stamped with intricate hand-stamped or embellished with repoussé. It's believed the belt was made by a Navajo trader who collected sterling silver buttons over the years, fashioning them by hand into conchos to adorn this belt for his wife. Many of the buttons used date back to the 1920s. Hand-stamped sterling buckle. One of a kind. Made in USA.
