Item No. 81572
Santa Barbara, CA landscape artist Nicole Strasburg's work celebrates the vast outdoors, endless horizons and a sense of personal sanctuary. As she says of this painting, "One of the things I love the most is travel and seeing new places, new vistas and exploring the land around me. I'm lucky to have girlfriends with the same travel bug. We set off for Death Valley looking for deserted mining towns around the National Park, but it also happened to be a year with a multitude of wildflowers. It was my first visit to this part of California and boy, it did not disappoint. It is a diverse landscape with sand dunes and amazing views of the Sierras. We were there in May and the snow still sat on top of the ridgeline. I chose to paint this in a panoramic format to accentuate the horizontal sweep of the view." Made in USA. Exclusive. Unframed, oil paint on birch panel, equipped with a hanging wire. 10"W x 48"L.
