Using a time-and labor-intensive hand pump drill, a craftsman from the Santo Domingo Pueblo, cut and drilled each of the olive shell and turquoise heishi beads that make up this double-strand necklace. Accented with hand-drilled tabs, also of Cerillos turquoise from one of America’s oldest mines, it finishes with a traditional waxed sinew wrap around its sturdy cotton string. USA. One-of-a-kind. Approx. 25"L.
