Handcrafted by Jock Favour and the only one of its kind, this dragonfly pendant was made using a tufa cast mold. A time-honored, multi-step technique, tufa casts are created by cutting tufa stone, comprised of compressed volcanic ash, into the desired shape, then chiseling the design into the stone. In this case, coin silver was poured into mold and Favour cut, sanded, polished and stamped the final piece which bears the subtle texture of the tufa stone.
