Retail Buyer

Job Overview:

The Retail Buyer is responsible for all facets of product selection, assortment, and building vendor relationships in the category. Works closely with the Senior Director and merchandising team to ensure selection and vision meets the high standards of quality and authenticity of the brand as well as item count and margin. Accountable for category performance, quality, uniqueness and price value relationship while adhering to the company’s merchandise process and calendar. Develops business strategies that maximize the development of the brand, sales and gross margin in the home category in our retail division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify a mix of products by season that ensure the Sundance aesthetic is delivered and tells a cohesive product story within our retail stores
  • Maintain relationships, resolve issues, and conduct negotiations with vendors as necessary (domestic and overseas)
  • Follow a strict assortment plan and operate within the strict guidelines of the merchandising process and calendar
  • Implement and execute the plan to assure that ultimate performance meets the sales, margin and profitability to space expectations for the home category in the retail division
  • Participate in post-mortem meetings and meet with the Senior Director and merchandising team on a regular basis to review in-season and post-mortem sales information. Leverage this information to improve retail performance
  • Plan, schedule, and participate in buying trips as well as store visits
  • Review and validate item copy blocks and artist stories in a timely manner, per the calendar
  • Responsible for maintaining and/or improving the overall return rate. Act as a customer advocate for product quality

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a buyer working in a corporate retail environment; preferably in a department or specialty store environment
  • Previous category experience in home décor and/or furnishings
  • Global sourcing experience preferred
  • Design background preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Applications Developer

Job Overview:

The Applications Developer position will provide software support and customer development for existing applications, as well as develop and maintain new applications. This position is responsible for modifying software code, creating new functionality, troubleshooting issues and resolving production support problems. Customizes current programmatic solutions to promote individual department productivity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Software development using maintains existing software programs

Digital Marketing Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking an individual to assist our marketing team in collecting and analyzing marketing and related financial data. The Digital Marketing Analyst will gather data to evaluate various channels, related business financials, and web analytics data to drive decisions that increase overall revenue and profit for the organization at a strategic and tactical level. The analytics provided by this position will be the backbone to evolution of strategy at Sundance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze marketing and business data to identify trends and patterns that reveal customer behavior and habits.
  • Recommend new online content opportunities and modifications to current content to increase traffic, customer satisfaction, and sales
  • Collect marketing intelligence regarding competitive position.
  • Create models for proposed marketing initiatives to drive ongoing improvements in sales and profitability
  • Develop meaningful metrics that communicate results and provide ongoing reports to management

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
  • Three years’ experience in financial analysis or related role that requires reporting and analysis of data

Marketing Analyst

Job Overview:

The Marketing Analyst will provide the foundation for actionable insights into customer behavior through reporting infrastructure, allowing senior management to create tactical strategies to drive sales and profit. In addition, this position will assist with customer file segmentation, campaign workflows, development of standardized reports and campaign support and Quality Control.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the marketing database including data flow and internal business rules.
  • Support all campaign processes including implementation of new data quality checks. Assist with all data procedures involved in each campaign
  • Work proactively with Marketing Manager to improve segmentation workflow in Adobe Campaign management tool. Optimize productivity, reduce campaign time and enhance overall results.
  • Work to improve and automate processes for offer and source code set up.
  • Manage day to day processes for all Catalog mailings
  • Provide foundation for analytics for marketing campaigns with concentration in outlined KPIs.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as business dictates. Create SQL queries to build Tableau reporting

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required
  • • Knowledge of MS SQL, Tableau, and Adobe Campaign required
  • • Understanding of campaign management systems such as Adobe Campaign, preferred
  • • Knowledge of direct marketing a plus

Production Artist

Job Overview:

The Production Artist is responsible for the execution of electronic production and ensure that design elements are consistently applied. Work with all stages of electronic production for the catalog and will be directly responsible for the accuracy of the catalog.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Format and place copy and images correctly and efficiently in layouts
  • Address scaling issues, cropping and bleed with Senior Production Designer.
  • Maintain catalog libraries, style guides, and templates for production.
  • Assist with electronic production on special projects as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow through and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactively participate and collaborate to meet Sundance's business goals.
  • Provide all electronic files to pre-press, meeting all technical standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, print production, or related field, will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert in Adobe CS Programs
  • Knowledge of pre-press and offset printing preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be highly organized, deadline driven and have high level of commitment to quality
