Retail Buyer

Job Overview:

The Retail Buyer is responsible for all facets of product selection, assortment, and building vendor relationships in the category. Works closely with the Senior Director and merchandising team to ensure selection and vision meets the high standards of quality and authenticity of the brand as well as item count and margin. Accountable for category performance, quality, uniqueness and price value relationship while adhering to the company’s merchandise process and calendar. Develops business strategies that maximize the development of the brand, sales and gross margin in the home category in our retail division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify a mix of products by season that ensure the Sundance aesthetic is delivered and tells a cohesive product story within our retail stores
  • Maintain relationships, resolve issues, and conduct negotiations with vendors as necessary (domestic and overseas)
  • Follow a strict assortment plan and operate within the strict guidelines of the merchandising process and calendar
  • Implement and execute the plan to assure that ultimate performance meets the sales, margin and profitability to space expectations for the home category in the retail division
  • Participate in post-mortem meetings and meet with the Senior Director and merchandising team on a regular basis to review in-season and post-mortem sales information. Leverage this information to improve retail performance

The Applications Developer position will provide software support and customer development for existing applications, as well as develop and maintain new applications. Digital Marketing Manager

Job Overview:

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the financial growth and profitability of all paid and organic ecommerce initiatives set out in corporate objectives. This person is the catalyst for driving profitable revenue growth, maintaining cost budgets, and identifying new customer acquisition opportunities. In partnership with ecommerce and off-line marketing strategies, provide a best in class customer experience that reflects the quality of the Sundance Brand.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the day to day functions of the Sundance ecommerce programs, including: SEM, SEO, Affiliates, Retargeting, Pinterest, Display, and Comparison Shopping Engines.
  • Support monthly and annual revenue goals for ecommerce programs while strictly adhering to cost budgets.
  • Oversee and maintain ecommerce internal and external partner relationships

Senior Technical Designer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience and knowledge in men's and women's apparel fit and construction. This individual will be responsible for all technical design aspects pertaining to designated categories. Will work both independently as well as with the design team to ensure Sundance standards related to fit, quality and workmanship are maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess product with an eye for quality and workmanship that is expected of Sundance.
  • Conduct seasonal live model fittings: at launch and throughout the fit process
  • Consistently analyze fit & balance on mannequin. Demonstrate ability to identify technical issues and to provide suggested solutions.
  • Uphold and adhere to consistent standards and methods of apparel fit and construction.
  • Collaborate and communicate with respective Designers/Product Development Managers to achieve their vision.
  • Review fit samples from a fit, construction and aesthetic standpoint; clearly communicate to vendors suggestions for pattern corrections/ construction details.
  • Analyze vendor patterns – against blocks and for individual product fit.
  • Manage and adhere to department calendar/time and action; be proactive in communicating and resolving issues.
  • Participate in weekly Cross Functional Team Meetings, communicating information to the team regarding outstanding issues.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing on vendor capabilities, evaluations and corrective action efforts.
  • Respond to customer reviews and determine if action should be taken to adjust fit and/or construction of future orders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in a technical design environment, with an understanding of pattern making, garment construction, production schedules and vendor communication.
  • A minimum of seven years' experience in a clothing manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree required in design, fashion or related field. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience

Storage Associate

Job Overview:

This position may be asked to respond to needs in all aspects of inventory operations, including the receipt, storage and accounting of inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the unloading of arriving trucks and containers, verifying number of cartons, noting deviations and working with drivers to ensure driver paperwork is accurate

  • Consistently and accurately follows up on customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Processes register transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Completes assigned tasks on Daily Agenda.
  • As a team member assists the store in achieving the store budgeted sales, payroll goals.
  • Executes operational tasks as directed.
  • Must be familiar with all operations of the store and able to pitch in where needed.

  • Maintains visual integrity by regular cleaning and dusting. Replenishes merchandise as needed.
  • Maintains a high level of awareness regarding loss prevention.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
  • High School graduate.
  • Associates degree in a related field required, BS or BA preferred.
  • Experience with a premium brand retailer.
  • Experience in an environment where customers service is highly regarded.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to read and write English fluently, including business communication.
  • Computer literacy including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Proven critical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proven effective interpersonal skills at all levels.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a retail store environment, e.g. standing, merchandising, stocking shelves, etc.
