Retail Buyer

Job Overview:

The Retail Buyer is responsible for all facets of product selection, assortment, and building vendor relationships in the category. Works closely with the Senior Director and merchandising team to ensure selection and vision meets the high standards of quality and authenticity of the brand as well as item count and margin. Accountable for category performance, quality, uniqueness and price value relationship while adhering to the company’s merchandise process and calendar. Develops business strategies that maximize the development of the brand, sales and gross margin in the home category in our retail division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify a mix of products by season that ensure the Sundance aesthetic is delivered and tells a cohesive product story within our retail stores
  • Maintain relationships, resolve issues, and conduct negotiations with vendors as necessary (domestic and overseas)
  • Follow a strict assortment plan and operate within the strict guidelines of the merchandising process and calendar
  • Implement and execute the plan to assure that ultimate performance meets the sales, margin and profitability to space expectations for the home category in the retail division
  • Participate in post-mortem meetings and meet with the Senior Director and merchandising team on a regular basis to review in-season and post-mortem sales information. Leverage this information to improve retail performance

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required

Senior Technical Designer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience and knowledge in men's and women's apparel fit and construction. This individual will be responsible for all technical design aspects pertaining to designated categories. Will work both independently as well as with the design team to ensure Sundance standards related to fit, quality and workmanship are maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess product with an eye for quality and workmanship that is expected of Sundance.
  • Conduct seasonal live model fittings: at launch and throughout the fit process
  • Consistently analyze fit & balance on mannequin. Demonstrate ability to identify technical issues and to provide suggested solutions
  • Uphold and adhere to consistent standards and methods of apparel fit and construction
  • Collaborate and communicate with respective Designers/Product Development Managers to achieve their vision.
  • Review fit samples from a fit, construction and aesthetic standpoint; clearly communicate to vendors suggestions for pattern corrections/ construction details.
  • Analyze vendor patterns – against blocks and for individual product fit.
  • Manage and adhere to department calendar/time and action; be proactive in communicating and resolving issues.
  • Participate in weekly Cross Functional Team Meetings, communicating information to the team regarding outstanding issues.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing on vendor capabilities, evaluations and corrective action efforts.
  • Respond to customer reviews and determine if action should be taken to adjust fit and/or construction of future orders
  • Participate in Returns analysis and take appropriate action with cross-functional team members and vendors. Work to improve return rate on anything above average for respective categories.
  • Review and edit DTP and Blue lines seasonally: review photos for accuracy in fit representation; review copy for accuracy; review size ranges and equivalencies; input lengths
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely manner
  • Periodically work with DC Quality Control team to evolve inspection protocol and issue resolution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in a technical design environment, with an understanding of pattern making, garment construction, production schedules and vendor communication
  • A minimum of seven years' experience in a clothing manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree required in design, fashion or related field. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manual and digital patterns, specifications, and apparel construction.

Apparel Merchandise Manager

Job Overview:

The Omni-Channel Merchandise Manager will focus on driving the full price business across channels with duties including competitive intelligence, assortment planning, product pricing, forecasting, and coordination with marketing and creative. This position will see strong collaboration between Product Development, Sourcing, Inventory Control, Marketing, Ecommerce, Retail, and Creative in order to drive strategic growth for the brand.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads team to achieve the sales and gross margin budgets through optimizing assortment, pricing and strategy
  • Develop global assortment plans – watch for and identify trends in categories as well monitor key metrics by channel

Web Applications Developer

Job Overview:

The Web Applications Developer manages all aspects of internal and externally-facing websites including codebase, data, user support and day-to-day operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop new web applications, functionality and features based on design requests and campaign initiatives from the Creative Services and Marketing departments
  • Manage web databases to ensure data integrity and consistency across various websites and applications

Marketing Analyst

Job Overview:

The Marketing Analyst will provide the foundation for actionable insights into customer behavior through reporting infrastructure, allowing senior management to create tactical strategies to drive sales and profit. In addition, this position will assist with customer file segmentation, campaign workflows, development of standardized reports and campaign support and Quality Control.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the marketing database including data flow and internal business rules.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis as business dictates. Create SQL queries to build Tableau reporting

Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an individual to assist us at our retail store located in Edina, MN. This position partners with the store management team in driving store sales by offering outstanding customer service, persistent attention to detail on the operational side of the business. Stock Associate

We are seeking a Part-Time Stock Associate to work at our retail store located in Dallas, TX. The Stock Associate provides support to the management team, Sales Associates, and customers by overseeing the flow of merchandise into and out of the store.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Sales
  • Ensure all merchandise is tagged correctly before placing on sales floor.
  • Assist with unpacking product before, during, and after shipments arrive.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties – Folding, dusting, straightening, sweeping, trash, vacuuming, changing light bulbs, taking out the trash, recycling, keeping stockroom clean daily, restocking supplies at the register, etc
