I have actually waited for just about 4.5 years to own these boots. I wear good shoes- they can be what reduces pain now and later in life. These boots are not what most usually splurge on themselves. We all have gifts we buy throughout the year, and then there are those times during major holidays and you spent more money than you ever intend, I know, been there- recall the 4.5 years?? These little puppies are not your Pop's army navy store old boots- maybe you save up, maybe you gone the bread and can lay it down whenever; super good what is stopping you then? As for me, I know buying these boots might be a tad more than some of you normally spend (me too!!!) Every man needs at least once in their life to own a real quality boot and I am not speaking of Italian leather or pra*a fancy-pants boots (but again, sadly admitting that those are kewl too, I am afraid! :-0) Read the history of the original design of these units. I'm not giving it away besides, Sundance details how these came to fruition and in an incredibly short time many decades ago thousands upon thousand owned and gave real life feild "tests" to the integrity and quality of these boots! Best boots money can buy- that is a preferential statement at best; but I attest that my boots are the "real-deal!" What that means to me is that at least this one company continues to drive their manufacturing under the guise of words like: quality, pride, and integrity. Trust me that when I say that I walk different in these shoes as I walk down the street, I honestly mean it. There is a certain movie from the late middle 70's dealing with what was then the disco culture- you with me on this...? It stared an actor who became quite famous and might be also known for his love of flying airplanes too? In one scene it just shows him walking on the city sidewalk (certain tune playing along) and he doing this "walk of absolute coolness" I guess would best explain it? Trust me, you will eventually feel that way all the time as you walk about the city, where ever! :-0) These are not fashionable boots that next season will be out with whatever nonsense replacing them. These are totally "classic!" Like a good pair of worn jeans, and a cotton t-shirt- never ever going out of style! Eventually, if like mine, they will fit you like they were custom made just for you and no one else! Last thing, we have established that these are the coolest boots around and feel great but you have to be totally cool to even step up the plate and buy them, when the box gets there, have your box cutter waiting by the front door and ever so fast, but carefullly open the box of boots, get a nice clean medium thickness sock, pull them on and you will feel tightness at first- all boots should start off feeling a little tight with the heal slpping some- just the way it is. Now just take a walk from one room to the other and back and if they are not channeling a bit of: James Dean, Elvis, Denzel Washington, Steve McQueen, or the coolest guy in my book, the illustrious Mr. Samuel L Jackson- if you feel nothing of these or your own choices of cool then all I can say is that maybe the power of these boots can only do "so much" when it comes to helping someone feel cool?? :-0) Look, just go on and buy the boots, I'm betting you will not ever regret it and they likely could be the last pair of boots you will ever need to buy!? I don't wear boots everyday but if I do wear them I wear these- strut your stuff as much and as often as you can! Live large and often!
