The gold flakes off fast

I absolutely love this necklace. It looks better in person than in the photo. As others have said, it does tend to get twisted up. I don't find that to be a big deal - I just unhook, run my fingers between the chains, and re-hook once or twice a day (the whole process takes maybe 10 whole seconds). My bigger complaint is that the gold plating is SO thin that it wore through in only 2 months of infrequent use. At first I thought the necklace was dirty, and I couldn't figure out how I'd spoiled is so badly. Gentle soap and water didn't work. Jewelry cleaner didn't work. I stopped wearing it entirely for almost a year because it looked so bad. Then, after much hemming and hawing, I realized that the silver was showing through - and it was tarnished! A quick dip in some liquid silver polish got it totally cleaned up and ready for wear. But what a shame that the gold wore away SO quickly. Hence the 3 stars.

The jewelry throughout the catalog is amazing. I have purchased a couple of items in the past. I love the new necklace, its dainty and beautifully done. The shipment arrived a day early which was awesome because I couldn't wait to receive it! I love the necklace and have gotten tons of compliments on it. I am glad to tell people where I get the jewelry, its an awesome company!
