Beautiful stone in an intriguing setting

You can't tell from the picture that the setting is a solid box-like shape. The shape tapers up from the ring. It might seem that this would prevent light from entering to show off the stone but it doesn't. The stone seems to glow from within. It is really beautiful and unusual. The setting does stick up almost a quarter inch from your hand so be aware in case this might bother you.
I'm a little disappointed that Sundance is still offering the same style. I received it as a gift from my husband at least three years ago and would like to think that I'm wearing something unique. I hope I don't run into someone else who is wearing the same ring.
Another caveat: I don't think it cost this much when I received it. If the price is this high, it should be offered in half sizes. Fingers come in a wider variety of sizes than whole sizes. I remember we had to send it back for a different size and it still doesn't quite fit, but I liked it so much I kept it.
