The first edition of Sundance Catalog was mailed in 1989 to offer "the kinds of things that we have been privileged to collect, many of them handcrafted exclusively for Sundance."

Director Of Digital Marketing

Job Overview:

This position holds sole ownership and P/L responsibility for all aspects of the Sundance Ecommerce division. Responsibilities include the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will drive traffic, new customer acquisition, conversion, revenue growth and profitability for the on-line channel. This position will manage initiatives such as site marketing, search engine marketing, affiliate programs, online media and email marketing. The candidate must be an advocate for digital channel leading peer departments to meet digital objectives. In addition, manage all aspects of social media branding and marketing. This position will work closely with IT, Marketing, Creative and Merchandising. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy with marked results. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working in an Omni-channel consumer based environment, preferable including retail (brick & mortar). Must research and recommend innovative new programs to broaden brand awareness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement marketing plan for Sundance Ecommerce division
  • Recommend, develop and manage innovative online strategies to support brand objectives and initiatives
  • Support all business channels with an Omni-channel approach
  • Develop and manage Ecommerce marketing budget. Own ROI analysis across all online initiatives to identify revenue driving opportunities and to exit less profitable programs
  • Acquire new customers at an acceptable LTV and retain existing customers with a lifecycle nurturing approach
  • Support customer database development by ensuring concise and accurate data flow by channel and device
  • Ensure a seamless and fast customer experience across all devices
  • Manage existing programs while pushing the brand forward in areas such as video based marketing, on-line/off-line hybrid databases and all social media platforms
  • Increase visitors and site conversion through the development of new initiatives and improvement to existing functionality/programs with a key focus on mobile
  • Partner with IT to ensure website is implementing SEO best practices. Manage site content and placement to support SEO objectives and improve company rankings
  • Successfully manage paid search program through testing and maximizing brand and non-brand keywords
  • Manage email contact strategy. Develop and grow email file through life cycle messaging, event based emails and personalization
  • Manage and evaluate Affiliate marketing programs, ensuring the filters of the Sundance brand are adhered to
  • Deploy A/B testing platform with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across emails, homepage, landing pages and product pages
  • Make recommendations to optimize web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation for all devices
  • Provide frequent reports to Senior Management on site performance with the ability to make adjustments as business requires
  • Explore and make brand appropriate recommendations for social networking where applicable
  • In depth knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud (Omniture)
  • Enhance marketing research efforts online via survey tools
  • Develop and execute a channel integration plan with offline marketing plan
  • Work closely with Creative Director in managing online brand positioning

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum BA/BS, an MBA would be ideal
  • Preferable background in consumer-based lifestyle retailer of woman’s fashion and home décor
  • Excellent skill level in all Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum of 5-10 years online marketing experience including a high proficiency in email, SEM, SEO and social media marketing, web analytics and online best practices
  • Must have a good understanding of online merchandising and brand positioning
  • Must have a good understanding of catalog direct marketing and customer segmentation
  • Must possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy inclusive of acquisition programs resulting in marked growth
  • Must have excellent analytical, business writing, and project management skills

Essential Functions:

  • A self-starter and team player with a track record of developing creative, results-oriented ideas and moving them toward implementation and completion
  • A strong communicator and a great writer with exceptional interpersonal and quantitative skills. Experience in b2c retail and catalog is preferred

Merchandising Assistant, Home

Job Overview:

This position assists the Home Merchandise Manager in managing all merchandising aspects of the home business. Corresponds with vendors, interacts with other departments, communicates accurate information, and maintains databases to meet department deadlines.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Merchandise Manager to analyze the business by preparing marked books and reports for all merchandising meetings; weekly selling, planning and post-mortem.
  • Represent the department in Salt Lake City office when the Merchandise Manager is not present.
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate information within internal databases.
  • Corresponds with vendors daily on outstanding issues to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and distribute new vendor agreement manuals and product information sheets.
  • Collaborate with Product Development & Design team coordinating procedures and delivering detailed product information.
  • Act as the point of contact for quality control issues, production questions, etc.
  • Verify catalog and website copy is accurate.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Assistant Jewelry Manager

Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a full-time capacity as a Assistant Jewelry Manager at our retail store located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Overview:

This position partners with the store management team in driving store sales by offering outstanding customer service, persistent attention to detail in supervising the jewelry department and general support to the management team. Train the staff in jewelry product knowledge including making them aware of new items, top sellers and special artisans and their unique relationship to Sundance. Guard the jewelry assets and maintain company policy on inventory control and loss prevention as it relates to the jewelry area. Manage jewelry inventory cycle counts on a regular basis as is specified by company policy. Assist the management team in store opening, closing and general floor supervision as scheduled and needed. Consistently demonstrate and uphold the Sundance culture with the utmost integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Customer service is key you must always lead by example. Most of your time will be spent on the sales floor and developing a customer sales book of jewelry customers.
  • Listens to customers and uses their feedback to improve service levels in the jewelry area but with a focus on the store in general.
  • Achieves store budget sales, payroll and inventory goals. Analyzes jewelry sales trends and develop plans to maximize profits and minimize costs.
  • Executes operational tasks as directed, with a keen eye on the bottom line profitability of the store.
  • Must be familiar with all operations of the store and able to pitch in where needed.
  • Consistently exceed the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customer.
  • Provides ongoing sales and product training for the staff to achieve sales goals.
  • In addition to assisting the management team in the general operations of the store your key responsibility will be to focus on the jewelry area. You along with the Store Manager are the liaison between the store, and the support office. You will work closely with inventory planning and allocation to manage inventory levels in your department.
  • Active in product knowledge training of the staff and encouraging a store environment where turnover is kept to a minimum.
  • Provides challenging goals and assignments to ensure all associates are trained and performing to company expectations
  • Motivates and develops associates by providing frequent developmental discussions, product training, sales and service techniques. Assists in writing and delivering store associate reviews.
  • Maintains disciplines for visual standards, store cleanliness
  • Monitors inventory procedures, and sees that shrink goals are met.
  • Keeps tight controls and management of all jewelry stock/inventory while maintaining a tidy, organized and secured work area.
  • Keeps all jewelry in its appropriate location clearly labeled and on display.
  • Consistently enforces all company policies and procedures. Performs opening/closing procedures and ensures bank deposits are done daily
  • Keeps open and responsive communication with Store Manager as well as the District Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a related field required, BS or BA preferred.
  • 5 plus years retail management experience.
  • Experience with a premium brand retailer.
  • Experience in an environment where customers service is highly regarded.
