The goal of the Sundance Village is to offer a community art and nature that would foster artistic pursuits and recreational activity while preserving naturally beautiful and unique environment of Sundance. The first edition of Sundance Catalog was mailed in 1989 to offer "the kinds of things that we have been privileged to collect, many of them handcrafted exclusively for Sundance."

Director Of Digital Marketing

Job Overview:

This position holds sole ownership and P/L responsibility for all aspects of the Sundance Ecommerce division. Responsibilities include the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will drive traffic, new customer acquisition, conversion, revenue growth and profitability for the on-line channel. This position will manage initiatives such as site marketing, search engine marketing, affiliate programs, online media and email marketing. The candidate must be an advocate for digital channel leading peer departments to meet digital objectives. In addition, manage all aspects of social media branding and marketing. This position will work closely with IT, Marketing, Creative and Merchandising. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy with marked results. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working in an Omni-channel consumer based environment, preferable including retail (brick & mortar). Must research and recommend innovative new programs to broaden brand awareness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement marketing plan for Sundance Ecommerce division
  • Recommend, develop and manage innovative online strategies to support brand objectives and initiatives
  • Support all business channels with an Omni-channel approach
  • Develop and manage Ecommerce marketing budget. Own ROI analysis across all online initiatives to identify revenue driving opportunities and to exit less profitable programs
  • Acquire new customers at an acceptable LTV and retain existing customers with a lifecycle nurturing approach
  • Support customer database development by ensuring concise and accurate data flow by channel and device
  • Ensure a seamless and fast customer experience across all devices
  • Manage existing programs while pushing the brand forward in areas such as video based marketing, on-line/off-line hybrid databases and all social media platforms
  • Increase visitors and site conversion through the development of new initiatives and improvement to existing functionality/programs with a key focus on mobile
  • Partner with IT to ensure website is implementing SEO best practices. Manage site content and placement to support SEO objectives and improve company rankings
  • Successfully manage paid search program through testing and maximizing brand and non-brand keywords
  • Manage email contact strategy. Develop and grow email file through life cycle messaging, event based emails and personalization
  • Manage and evaluate Affiliate marketing programs, ensuring the filters of the Sundance brand are adhered to
  • Deploy A/B testing platform with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across emails, homepage, landing pages and product pages
  • Make recommendations to optimize web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation for all devices
  • Provide frequent reports to Senior Management on site performance with the ability to make adjustments as business requires
  • Explore and make brand appropriate recommendations for social networking where applicable
  • In depth knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud (Omniture)
  • Enhance marketing research efforts online via survey tools
  • Develop and execute a channel integration plan with offline marketing plan
  • Work closely with Creative Director in managing online brand positioning

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum BA/BS, an MBA would be ideal
  • Preferable background in consumer-based lifestyle retailer of woman’s fashion and home décor
  • Excellent skill level in all Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum of 5-10 years online marketing experience including a high proficiency in email, SEM, SEO and social media marketing, web analytics and online best practices
  • Must have a good understanding of online merchandising and brand positioning
  • Must have a good understanding of catalog direct marketing and customer segmentation
  • Must possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy inclusive of acquisition programs resulting in marked growth
  • Must have excellent analytical, business writing, and project management skills

Essential Functions:

  • A self-starter and team player with a track record of developing creative, results-oriented ideas and moving them toward implementation and completion

Merchandising Assistant, Home

Job Overview:

This position assists the Home Merchandise Manager in managing all merchandising aspects of the home business. Corresponds with vendors, interacts with other departments, communicates accurate information, and maintains databases to meet department deadlines.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Merchandise Manager to analyze the business by preparing marked books and reports for all merchandising meetings; weekly selling, planning and post-mortem.
  • Represent the department in Salt Lake City office when the Merchandise Manager is not present.
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate information within internal databases.
  • Corresponds with vendors daily on outstanding issues to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and distribute new vendor agreement manuals and product information sheets.
  • Collaborate with Product Development & Design team coordinating procedures and delivering detailed product information.
  • Act as the point of contact for quality control issues, production questions, etc.
  • Verify catalog and website copy is accurate.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an individual to assist us in developing effective merchandise strategies for our retail division. You will be responsible for creating sound financial plans that reduce company spending and increase overall profit. You will also provide forecasts, use past performance to make projections, make recommendations for promotional markdowns, and manage inventory to maximize profitability. Additionally, you will research market trends to increase and create more attractive offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory, and bottom line profitability
  • Manage the financial success of several departments by meeting sales, gross margin, and inventory turn goals
  • Build and manage the Open-To-Buy process effectively
  • Generate and maintain weekly/monthly reports to analyze performance, inventory levels and distribution methods at the store level
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class. Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by the department
  • Recap and communicate location and size selling performance
  • Develop knowledge of geographic and store attribute performance and trends through data analysis and field communication
  • Review assortment plans to the class level using store grades and performance groupings.
  • Plan and forecast key items including seasonality and size
  • Work with cross functional team to ensure timely and accurate execution of new store openings
  • Allocate receipts to new and existing stores based on inventory plans at the department and classification level
  • Responsible for managing system parameters to determine the appropriate allocation method for maximizing sales and inventory turnover
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six years’ experience working in retail planning capacity preferably as a merchandise planner and allocator, merchant, or buyer
  • Bachelor's degree in business, financial analysis, marketing, or related field. May consider equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, effectively with employees at all levels.
