Sundance was founded in 1969 by Robert Redford at the base of beautiful 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. The goal of the Sundance Village is to offer a community art and nature that would foster artistic pursuits and recreational activity while preserving naturally beautiful and unique environment of Sundance. The first edition of Sundance Catalog was mailed in 1989 to offer "the kinds of things that we have been privileged to collect, many of them handcrafted exclusively for Sundance."

Director Of Digital Marketing

Job Overview:

This position holds sole ownership and P/L responsibility for all aspects of the Sundance Ecommerce division. Responsibilities include the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will drive traffic, new customer acquisition, conversion, revenue growth and profitability for the on-line channel. This position will manage initiatives such as site marketing, search engine marketing, affiliate programs, online media and email marketing. The candidate must be an advocate for digital channel leading peer departments to meet digital objectives. In addition, manage all aspects of social media branding and marketing. This position will work closely with IT, Marketing, Creative and Merchandising. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy with marked results. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working in an Omni-channel consumer based environment, preferable including retail (brick & mortar). Must research and recommend innovative new programs to broaden brand awareness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and implement marketing plan for Sundance Ecommerce division
  • Recommend, develop and manage innovative online strategies to support brand objectives and initiatives
  • Support all business channels with an Omni-channel approach
  • Develop and manage Ecommerce marketing budget. Own ROI analysis across all online initiatives to identify revenue driving opportunities and to exit less profitable programs
  • Acquire new customers at an acceptable LTV and retain existing customers with a lifecycle nurturing approach
  • Support customer database development by ensuring concise and accurate data flow by channel and device
  • Ensure a seamless and fast customer experience across all devices
  • Manage existing programs while pushing the brand forward in areas such as video based marketing, on-line/off-line hybrid databases and all social media platforms
  • Increase visitors and site conversion through the development of new initiatives and improvement to existing functionality/programs with a key focus on mobile
  • Partner with IT to ensure website is implementing SEO best practices. Manage site content and placement to support SEO objectives and improve company rankings
  • Successfully manage paid search program through testing and maximizing brand and non-brand keywords
  • Manage email contact strategy. Develop and grow email file through life cycle messaging, event based emails and personalization
  • Manage and evaluate Affiliate marketing programs, ensuring the filters of the Sundance brand are adhered to
  • Deploy A/B testing platform with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across emails, homepage, landing pages and product pages
  • Make recommendations to optimize web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation for all devices
  • Provide frequent reports to Senior Management on site performance with the ability to make adjustments as business requires
  • Explore and make brand appropriate recommendations for social networking where applicable
  • In depth knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud (Omniture)
  • Enhance marketing research efforts online via survey tools
  • Develop and execute a channel integration plan with offline marketing plan
  • Work closely with Creative Director in managing online brand positioning

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum BA/BS, an MBA would be ideal
  • Preferable background in consumer-based lifestyle retailer of woman’s fashion and home décor
  • Excellent skill level in all Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum of 5-10 years online marketing experience including a high proficiency in email, SEM, SEO and social media marketing, web analytics and online best practices
  • Must have a good understanding of online merchandising and brand positioning
  • Must have a good understanding of catalog direct marketing and customer segmentation
  • Must possess a proven track record in creating, driving and executing an online marketing strategy inclusive of acquisition programs resulting in marked growth
  • Must have excellent analytical, business writing, and project management skills

Essential Functions:

  • A self-starter and team player with a track record of developing creative, results-oriented ideas and moving them toward implementation and completion
  • • A strong communicator and a great writer with exceptional interpersonal and quantitative skills. Experience in b2c retail and catalog is preferred

Associate Merchant Of Apparel

Associate Merchant Of Apparel Overview

The Associate Merchant will support the Merchandise Manager (MM) in all merchandising aspects of the apparel business focused on strategic planning, inventory control and in-depth analysis

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Fashion MM to analyze category performance and provide in-depth analysis on a weekly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Identify and execute category strategies that will drive sales and profitability
  • Help prepare relevant data, books and boards for all meetings (weekly selling, merchandise strategy and post-mortems)
  • Assist MM in developing a seasonal assortment plan. Watch and identify trends in categories, identify key repeats and seasonality issues, and monitor density concerns
  • Monitor return rates and develop action plans to reduce those above budgeted return rates
  • Represents the Catalog Fashion Merchandising Manager in SLC office when MM is not present. Point person for production questions, Apparel item information, etc
  • Be prepared at all times to update Merchandise Manager and Senior Management on category performance, item performance, inventory challenges and vendor issues
  • Partner with Inventory Control to establish realistic forecasts and buy plans that will support demand goals, margin goals and inventory turn goals
  • Interface with Liquidation to determine optimal buying opportunities on high margin items for increased sales while still managing liquidation inventory levels
  • Establish a team environment with your peers and category partners to be aware of all issues that impact the performance of your products
  • Responsible for creating and ensuring accuracy of all product information and communicating to all departments across the company
  • Assists with vendors to explain policies, routing guide, etc
  • Review copy and item presentations in all preprint catalogs to eliminate errors in printed versions

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2+ years experience in a retail or catalog environment
  • Previous merchandising and buying or product development experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a part-time capacity as a Sales Associate at our retail store located in Tigard, OR.

Job Overview:

The Sales Associate partners with store management to drive sales by persistent attention to detail in assisting and selling goods to customers. You will also offer general support to the management team regarding visual merchandising, ensuring merchandise is stocked appropriately and the store is clean at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Customer service is key...we are here to enhance the customer experience by outfitting them.
  • Tells the product story, features and benefits of jewelry and merchandise. Checks for customer understanding.
  • Informs customers of our website and catalog, offering to put them on our mailing list.
  • Processes register transactions accurately and efficiently.

Lead Sales Associate

Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team in a part-time capacity as a Lead Sales Associate at our retail store located in Southlake, TX.

Job Overview:

The Lead Sales Associate provides the highest level of internal and external customer service by having in-depth product knowledge and effective selling techniques. Is a sales leader and sets the example for customer service. Regularly acts as floor supervisor. Consistently demonstrates and upholds the Sundance culture with the utmost integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Takes a leadership role in training associates on selling skills and techniques
  • Utilizes selling skills such as telling the product story and explaining features and benefits to build multiple sales
  • Acts as a product information resource for all staff
  • Acts as floor supervisor, ensures all customers are receiving outstanding service
  • Thoroughly completes daily agenda after thoughtful planning of daily operations to achieve sales goals. Follows up on the daily agendas to ensure execution of tasks
  • Communicates personnel, policy and loss prevention issues to the Store Manager
  • Maintains a high level of awareness regarding loss prevention
  • Participates in merchandising the store to maximize sales and maintain visual and maintenance standards
