Our Product Story
Nylon is the generic term for man-made fibers composed of long chain synthetic polyamides derived from coal and petroleum. Known for its high strength and elasticity, Nylon is also abrasion, rot and mildew resistant. It has a low water absorption rate and is quick drying. These characteristics make it a great material for outerwear, hosiery, lingerie, sleepwear, sweaters, carpet and upholstery.
Mohair is from the angora goat and is highly resilient and strong. Mohair's luster, not softness, determines its value. Mohair is used in home decorating fabrics as well as garment fabrics including tropical worsteds.
Acrylic is the generic name for man-made fibers derived from polyacrylonitrile - a liquid ultimately created from air and natural gas. Its chief properties are a soft, woolly hand, wash-and-wear performance, good stability under repeated launderings and good wrinkle resistance.
