Our Product Story
The speedboat was drawn by George Crouch and handcrafted by the jeweler and Master Artisans of Kiade. This boat was considered to be one of the nicest runabout of epoch.
Mahogany, a tropical hardwood, is commonly regarded as the world's best wood for cabinetry, high class furniture, boats and musical instruments. It is the most valuable timber in South America. In it's natural habitat, it is a large tree with a huge canopy and can reach heights of over 150 feet. The wood has a fine to medium texture with uniform to interlocking grain. Grain irregularities produce attractive figures called fiddleback or mottle. Wood workers prefer it for it's easy to work and polishes to a high luster.
