Leather is a natural material whose durability, texture and beauty make it one of the most popular materials on today's market. All of the natural range markings are visible - a subtle assurance that distinguishes real leather from imitation. The beauty of each leather item is enhanced by unique varying grain patterns and the subtleties of color and texture created by dyes and finishes. With time and use, leather products will mature and darken - giving them a rich patina.
In 1913, English metallurgist Harry Brearly, working on a project to improve rifle barrels, accidentally discovered that adding chromium to low carbon steel gives it stain resistance. In addition to iron, carbon, and chromium, modern stainless steel may also contain other elements that enhance the corrosion resistance of it.
Quartz movement refers to power that is provided by a miniature battery, eliminating the need to wind the watch. Quartz movements provide time measurement accurate to within a few seconds per year.
