Educated as an abstract painter, Nancy Caten now uses the human body as her canvas, creating feminine jewels largely influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. With an artist's eye and a craftsman's touch, she indulges her love of manipulating metal to reveal its intrinsic beauty. Often she'll add rare or semiprecious stones, exhibiting unconventional mixes of shape, texture and proportion.
