The Association for Retail Environments (A.R.E.) has honored Sundance The Store with an Outstanding Merit Award, recognizing its design approach of combining rustic interiors with contemporary architecture. At the ceremony held on March 18, 2008, our flagship retail store at Park Meadows in suburban Denver, Colorado was praised for the innovation and quality of its retail environment design.
Two Store Fixture Awards were also presented to us for our store's oversized wood floor fixtures and steel and patina metal rail system. According to the A.R.E., "the fixtures provide a sturdy, streamlined feel, but are flexible for display as a result of adjustable shelving." A.R.E. also noted the lighting, which highlights the assortment of furnishings, clothing, jewelry and other products offered. Additionally, floor-to-ceiling mirrors provide a myriad of display options. Continuing with Sundance's commitment to supporting an environmental sensibility, the wood floor fixtures feature recycled barn oak and Douglas Fir thresher boards.
